Fictional Writings of Elleander Grey

  • Clark and Caleb skated to Karen & Lily’s. They entered the house and found Karen sipping a bottle of rum. Clark followed her example, and asked Caleb in a gruff voice. “Did you call any hot girls and tell them to come over?” Clark laughed and grabbed the rum away from Caleb. “Find your own hot girls and tell them to come over.” Clark persisted and directed his face to Karen. “Don’t you have any cute girlfriends?” Lily returned home from work and immediately disposed of herself with a cloud of milky marijuana smoke. The pipe floated about the hazy room first to Karen, then Clark, and finally Caleb. Within an hour ten others had joined the party, and Caleb’s girl acquaintances were already flirting with Clark. Caleb’s rapport gave them comfort, and the fact that the hosts of the party were generous with the rum furthered the general amiability of the visitors. Conversation was rampant but the rum was running low. Clark’s sardonic wit infected the women and in their drunken minds he was the catch of the party. Caleb’s friend Kristin shelled out ten dollars and bought a fifth of rum to further the enjoyment of the night. Lily and Karen drank a good portion of the new bottle, but Caleband Clark composed the drinking majority. With her shoulder length curly brown hair that bouncing up and down as she laughed and giggled in a severely drunken state, Kristin slurred that she must necessarily depart. Caleb talked about his enjoyment of her company at the party and promised to call her tomorrow. Clark maintained a conversation with a bubbly and intelligent woman named Marie. After a few minutes conversation about music Marie brushed the hair out of Clark’s drunken emerald eyes and began to kiss him. Caleb and Kristin began to make out as well even though Kristin minutes ago had been making her way out. But an entanglement of their four bodies formed and Caleb started to kiss with Marie while Clark and Kristin found each other. After a few minutes Marie proposed they all go back to Clark’s house. Clark thought about this and suggested they find two or three other girls. Marie and Kristin found two, but Clark second guessed the situation and told them to find two more. The failure to find two more women forced Clark to declare that he must go home alone. Thus he bid them good-night. Upon arriving home Clark found himself surrounded by a party that his roommates were holding in the kitchen next to the garage. He braved his way through the collection of his friends without drinking much more and staggered to his bed. Within ten minutes his door opened and Kristin crawled into bed with him. In a dizzy stupor the two awkwardly tore, and pressed into each other’s bodies. Amidst the confusion of a party outside his room, and a woman tearing into his body, Clark heard a gigantic banging on his door. It was crushingly opened revealing a close friend of Pepper’s who still resided in the house. “You are a lying misogynist drunk slut raping homophobic piece of scum and I want you out of the goddamn house. I hate you and everything you stand for.” Kristin raised her hand to block the light so she could see the source of the commotion. “Hi Angie.” Kristin slurred. “Why are you in bed with that fucking asshole?” Angie impudently screamed at Kristin. Kristin didn’t say anything. Angie may as well have asked Kristin about the meaning of life. Her ability to argue or reason collapsed into a slumbering rock and Kristin staggered out of Clark’s room without saying a word. Clark stared dazzlingly at Angie’s fuming hatred, noticed the party’s noise had ceased, and then turned over to sleep. Angie noticed the dull murmuring of voices and strengthened her position. “Pay your goddamn bills you lowlife scumbag. You haven’t paid on time since you’ve moved in. You’ve owed the house over six-hundred dollars for three weeks now. I want your fucking ass out of the house.” Angie screamed her request as she slammed the door and turned her back on Clark echoing hatred through the house. Clark’s felt as though he were physically spinning out of control. He truly had no money with which to pay the house. Outside his room the party goers looked at each other in agreement about the situation and backed away from Angie as she stomped upstairs. The next morning everyone in the house told Clark not to move out, and that it was not his fault that Pepper went crazy. Furthermore Angie is a raving lunatic bitch and please be careful to not have your balls cut off and stapled to your neck. Clark thanked them for this support but argued that he was causing a problem in the house. Again his housemates agreed that they’d rather force Angie out. Clark maintained that it would be easier on everyone if he moved out in a few weeks, but that there would be a gigantic party in his room on the last day of his residence. Within the next few weeks Clark borrowed money to pay his bills, and continued attending City College. He met a young black haired seventeen-year old high school senior named Anna. He immediately and sincerely loved her. Her unique and don’t-give-a-fuck attitude attracted him to her intensely. However, Clark was slightly concerned about Anna’s age. Usually he did not pay heed to irrational fears and opinions of ignorant people. However, the affair with Pepper and the retributive attitude of Angie left him unsettled. Clark informed Anna that her age did in fact bother him enough to want to abstain from proceeding in the natural direction attraction leads. Her response was a biting letter he could not ignore.
